Tsutenkaku Tower - Tsutenkaku is another symbol of Osaka that has appeared in many movies. It was built in 1912 as the landmark of Shin-Sekai (a new world). It was named Tsutenkaku, meaning “Building leading to heaven”.

Nintoku-ryo Tumulus - It’s a tumulus of the sixteenth Emperor Nintoku. The area of the tumulus is the biggest in the world which is bigger than the Great Pyramid of King Khufu of Egypt.

Gion/Kawaramachi - Gion is well known as the City of Maiko, entertainers with Japanese traditional songs and dances. Kawaramachi is right across the Kamo river from Gion. It is a busy area filled with trendy shops, boutiques and movie theaters.

Kinkaku-ji Temple - It has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage. This Golden Pavilion is a zen temple with top two-floors completely covered in gold leaf.

Todai-ji Temple - Todai-ji was built in the 8th century. Great Buddha in this temple, designated a National Treasure, is roughly 14m tall, and is the largest metal statue of the Buddha in the world.

Horyu-ji Temple - It’s the world's oldest surviving wooden structures, conveying images of Japan as it existed more than 1,300 years ago, during the Asuka Period. Horyu-ji Temple is also registered as a World Cultural Heritage.

Arima Hot Springs - Arima Hot Springs, the oldest hot spring in Japan as well as one of the 3 best hot springs in the country, offer 2 types of hot springs, Kinsen (gold spring) and Ginsen (silver spring).

Naruto Strait - Naruto City in Tokushima Prefecture is known for the “whirlpools of Naruto”. The tidal current of the Naruto Strait is fast, ranked one of the 3 biggest tidal currents in the world.

Lake Biwa - It is the largest lake in Japan, occupies 1/6 of Shiga prefecture. The area of this lake is about 670km². There are many attractive tourist spots and resorts in the region surrounding Lake Biwa.
Wakayama
Engetsu Island - It is a small island with a sea cave which is a full-moon-like hole in the middle. It is especially popular to see the sunset over the sea through the hole.
Tottori
Tottori Sand Dunes - It is a breathtaking, beautiful natural land formation, created by sands and winds over the last 100,000 years. They are 16km long and 2km wide.
